Applied NanoPhysics Laboratory’s focuses on development of functional nanomaterials and modifying their band structure and surfaces for Energy, and Environment.
We are discovering new semiconductors materials capable of absorbing a significant portion of the solar spectrum.
We are controlling the band structure of semiconductors to control chemical reactivity and to improve the energy-conversion efficiency.
We are discovering new co-catalyst to prevent back reactions during photocatalytic water splitting
We are discovering new material for air filter and N95 face mask, specifically polymer nanofiber with antibacterial and antiviral properties.
We are located in the Sir C.V. Raman Research Park, Second floor & sixth floors RRP-209 and RRP-616.

PhD scholarship:
Monthly Rs. 31,000 for NET/GATE Qualified Candidates & Rs.25,000 for only M.Sc / M.Tech (withoutNET/GATE). Starting date July 2023
